"5 Years ago today we walked into Paediatric Pulmonologist Adele Roux's rooms for the first time. We were exhausted, terrified, and despondent. No one could tell us why our little boy was so ill. We had spent countless days in hospital, done endless tests and heard our little 2 year old scream in fear of nurses, doctors and needles and we could do nothing to help. We had seen numerous specialists and we still didn't have answers. We were hopeful but pessimistic.  Dr. Roux, you saw our fear, exhaustion and pessimism and you walked us through your plan. It was more hospital and more tests but you had a goal. This was the start of an amazing journey!
Sebastian's fears slowly drained as he grew to know you. He knew that he could trust you. We all knew that we could trust you!
You once told us, 'I will not stop until I know what's wrong', and you kept to your word! Sometimes he likes to challenge you on that, but you always come through.  You are more than a doctor to us, you are our saving grace. You gave us hope and most of all, our healthy boy!
